What’s a good program for recording my own songs and then adding instruments and editing the effects, etc?

I don’t care if it costs money or is free. I’m looking for something like Finale or Sonar only more user friendly. I downloaded the Finale trial and it was nice but it seemed too elementary and basic and then I found my old Sonar 3 disk and got into it but it didn’t seem very user friendly when I was trying to edit the staff and plug in notes and stuff.

   If you also have a keyboard,
   You can use Cubase and you can use the keyboard to record any other instrument you want into the program and edit, copy etc etc
