Is it possible for Humans to hear bats? Can anyone else but me?
kenni B asked: Whenever there is a Bat around i hear something like i high pitch really quiet whine and a clicking noise. Its only when bats are about. Can humans hear it? i thought they cant hear Sonar and stuff and if it aint sonar what is it? Can anyone else hear it?

Yes, humans can hear bat vocalizations. Although all bats have vocalizations, not all bats have sonar. So, although you hear their vocalizations, your making a big assumption that it’s sonar.

Bats vocalizations are not all at the same frequency. What you are hearing is the equivalent of bats grumbling in low voices. You won’t be able to hear bats vocalizing in their high-pitched voices.

It is posible, only when there are a whole population of bats, youcan say that you can hear like a whistling kind of sound

Bats do make some sounds audible to the human ear, so yes, you would be able to hear thier calls and chatter that are within the human hearing frequecy range. You would not be able to hear their calls while echolocating.
