What are the chances of getting pregnant even if protection is used?

junkmailgab asked:

Also, what are the chances of getting pregnant for the first time having sex? Two of my friends are now pregnant, one said she only had sex once, and the other said she did so a number of times before she became pregnant.

Depends if you are on Birth control ,And if you use condoms (HOPEFULLY U ARE) the condom can bust inside you so becare full..

You can get pregnant the first time you have sex. Family history is a good indicator of how fertile you are, but not garaunteed. If you are worried about protection, trying using 2 contraceptives…like condoms and timing it with your period. 2 weeks after your period is when you are most susceptible to getting pregnant. There’s also birth control pills, spermicides, pulling out, etc.

If protection (condom and/or “the pill”) is used, the chances of pregnancy are low, but _never_ zero. No matter what, unless a couple is in a committed relationship and positive that they are disease-free, they shouldn’t be having unprotected sex. By disease-free, I don’t mean “I feel okay, so I can’t have any disease”; I mean _tested_, free from HIV/AIDS and other STD’s.

If no protection is used, the chances of becoming pregnant the first time having sex are just as good as the millionth time having sex - maybe better, because it’s much easier for a younger woman to become pregnant than, say, a 35-year-old.

Well I have to say your chances are still good. I got pregnant with my son when I was on the pill, he used protection, and he pulled out … and oh yeah I was told i couldnt get pregnant!! So NOTHING is impossible!! Be prepared!!
