How long does it take after conception for pregnancy to show on a blood test?
Sarah M asked:
I have been on the depo shot so I have’nt had a period in a while. I want to go take a blood test because I hear that they can detect pregnancy before a home test. Is this right and if so how long should I wait for accurate results?

I believe that a blood test can show resolts two weeks after conception. And yes they will detect it before a home test will.

As early as 10 days after conception, definitely by the time you’ve missed your period.

Yes it is true. I’m sure it’s a little faster than a home pregnancy test but i got told by one of my OB’s that you can’t get a positive until your 4-6 weeks.

A blood test will show if you are pregnant or not 7 days following conception.
