How can I adjust maternity or plus size patterns for plus size maternity outfits 24-28W?

Can’t find maternity patterns plus size over 20W. Need 24-28W or to find out how to adjust regular plus size patterns for expecting daughter.

have you tried a belly band? these are great for early to mid pregnancy as you can still wear your normal clothes but leave the buttons and zippers undone as the belly band hold up your clothes and covers the top so you cant see the gap. i tried them first time this pregnancy and they are great. Ebay has some if you cant find them anywhere else

Try
They are a little bit more expensive but are way comfy and fit really well. I suggest the full panel.

I think Lane Bryant.com has some plus sized maternity clothes (and I’m not talking about the little 14-20W either!) I usually wear a 28W without being preggo and I had to go to the men’s big and tall store to get some clothes that were baggy enough while I was pregnant. Hope this helps!

Hi! Here are some plus sized maternity patterns that go to size 30
Also, most plus sized clothes patterns should work if you make the belly a few inches bigger, or make looser fitting tops or dresses.
I noticed many plus sized maternity patterns go to size 22, you can just make them all a little bigger.
Here is a link to a guide on how to alter regular plus sized patterns for maternity. It costs about 15 bucks though:

As you know everyone is different, but I didn’t need to get maternity clothes - I was a 24. Just wearing tunics and tshirts, and knit or jersey shorts, pants, and skirts - I just stayed in my regular clothes - of course I bought a few new pieces, but I think it was just in tops that I went up a size.
Obese women just don’t gain a lot of weight during the pregnancy - I overall gained only five pounds (under OB/GYN all was fine) - it’s pretty much just the body shape which changes - my belly just filled out up toward the boobs. You don’t get the ‘basketball’ belly smaller women get.
So though I know I didn’t answer your question, maybe this helped regardless…
