Can you get maternity leave if you work from home?

I live in Canada and heard that you can’t get maternity leave if you work from home. Is that true?
Sweetpea….I said I WORK from home…so yes I do get paid and yes I do pay taxes.

   hmm, well that’s a good one… possibly they feel that you are already home, why should you get maternity leave? (that’s not my opinion, but perhaps, that’s how they think?) i don’t know, i live in the USA

   I wouldnt think that would be fair. If you are not bringing in an income and paying taxes, then the state should not pay you for maternity leave if you are already home.
