Buy a belly belt. You can attach it to your pants to make them bigger to fit your growing stomach.

i would wear my old clothes if they could go up my hips. my rear has expanded so i dont fit in to my old stuff but i did do that rubberband thing. My cousin was telling me about these centers that give you free baby clothes and maternity clothes. its like a consigment store but its owned through wic and they just give you the clothes if you ask. i dont know if they offer wic in the state where you live but if you do ask them is they have shops where they give out used maternity clothes and baby clothes.

Umm. no offense, but i understand, my husband is touchy right now on spending extra cash because he is wanting to pay off some debt before the baby somes.

However, I sat him down and said, "look, i understand, but you need to understand that there are somethings i can go without but otherthings, underwear and some bigger bras...etc....i will need"

Sit him down and be honest. Let him know what is really going on. Chances are he hasn't really thought about the fact that you are growing and will continue and continue.

I am 5 months and I steal my husband's clothes! Right now I am wearing his sweater and jeans (they're a bit long but fit just right at the waist!). I use my own accessories and it looks quite good.
I don't want to spend too much money on maternity clothes now, because i know I'll outgrow them quickly.
To alter your own pants here's a trick: use a rubber band, loop it thru the button hole and around the button. I used up to 2 of them. I went with the "ouchless" kind you find at Target.
Then wear a simple Tshirt and an open buttoned shirt (my husband's dress shirts are a good choice too!), cuff the sleeves, wear a big and bold necklace or a scarf, put an oversized belt on the bottom of your belly. you are good to go!

You are beautiful, you are pregnant, flaunt it! it doesn't have to cost a lot of money

well I am 7 1/2 months prego and I can only wear three pairs of my "regular" pants. I have only bought two pairs of maternity pants though. I just wear my pants and keep the top button open...with a long sweater or something.

Also, you can get some good deals at Old Navy, Ross, GAP outlet...just shop around. I know you said your husband doesn't see the need for it..but it can get really really uncomfortable if your mid section is tight. I have found all my clothes for under $15 and they are cute.

There is a band you can get to wear around your waist so you can continue to wear your pants, it covers up the zipper/buttons, it just looks like you are wearing a long shirt underneath your clothes. I believe you can get it from motherhood maternity. I never used it but heard good things about it.

Steal your husbands clothes too i guess? For shirts?

There is a link to it below.

At some point you will probably have to get SOME maternity clothes. Why does he think they are needed? Its not his body going through so many changes and EXPANDING. Hmmm... I think he is being insensitive.

there is something called the belly band, it is a band you can put around your belly and extends down (so you can leave your pants completely un-zipped) The band is a tight strechy material that will cover you and goes over pants. I hope that makes sense. It's about $30... you can order it online... If your husband will let you. I hope so.

One other thing. You could look on craigslist, sometimes women are selling maternity clothes cheap! You would just have to find soemone your size. Good luck!
