How would anyone get pregnant when not ovulating?

Saturday, December 13th, 2008
Me asked:

I mean, the egg is only released at the time of ovulation. And I know that sperm can live several days inside of a woman’s body, so therefore if you have sex for up to 3 days before you ovulate then you could possibly get pregnant. But other than that, how does everyone say you could still get pregnant?

I am 5 months pregnant, is it ok to start excercising at the gym?

Saturday, December 13th, 2008
Kat_25 asked:

I was doing regular cardio and strength trainning prior to becoming pregnant, but was working 2 jobs so had to stop training as I had no time. I have cut down on my work and am only working evenings now, and have the time to start excercising again. I just joined up with a gym and have a session with a personal trainer to go through some safe excercises for pregnant women, but its not for 2 weeks and I am keen to start asap, any advice? I am 21 weeks pregnant. Also how long can you keep excercising up untill, full term?

How do you know a cat is pregnant? Can a pregnant cat be spayed?

Saturday, December 13th, 2008
faith19375 asked:

The stray cat I am looking after and intend to get spayed looks pregnant but I am not sure. Her stomach looks a little swollen but again I am not sure. I can clearly see her nipples. But she has 3-month old kittens and until about 6 weeks before she was lactating. She has been leaving her kittens regularly, so I thought if she is still trying to mate, she may not be pregnant yet.

If she is pregnant, how risky is it to get her spayed? I do not want to take the risk of putting her through the surgery if it may lead to serious/fatal complications.

What are the chances of getting pregnant when using the pill perfectly without a condom?

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008
alyssa asked:

I know for a fact that they dont protect you whatsoever against STD’s, but if you use the pill completely the way you are supposed to and a guy doesnt pull out, what are the chances of the girl getting pregnant? Is that what the 99% stands for when they say it is 99% effective?

I say you have a higher chance of a girl getting pregnant if you dont use a condom (and the guy not pulling out), even if shes using it perfectly.

My friend says that you cant get pregnant if you use the pill perfectly.

Whos right?

Pregnant *****?

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008
pink_lemur13 asked:

O.K., I just adopted what I believe to be a pregnant *****. I know how to help deliver pups, and I’m going to take her to the vet. However, I want to know if there is anyway of looking at a dog (not feeling her tummy) and being able to come up with a ruff estimate of how many puppies she’ll have. Yes, the vet will tell me, but I want more creative answers than that. (she’s a boxer).
because the shelter I volunteer at is a piece of crap, and they thought she had already had her puppies.

How soon after getting pregnant would you say symptoms can start?

Saturday, December 6th, 2008
Kim*TTC # 1 asked:

Just a question, even for women who are pregnant right now, just to have a little bit of sort-of statistics on when women feel symptoms, since we all know each pregnancy, even for each person, is different. I wanted to know though also everyone, when do you think is the earliest for symptoms like tender breasts, fatigue, cravings to start? (How many weeks pregnant?) Just another statistic-type question :) Thanks!

How many extra calories should you eat when you are pregnant with twins?

Saturday, December 6th, 2008
DeeAnne asked:

Ok, so I have heard you should eat 300 extra calories per day when you are pregnant. Does this mean you should eat 600 calories per day when you are pregnant with twins? 900 with triplets? Just wondering…..I am 36 weeks pregnant with one baby but I don’t really eat any more than I did before I was pregnant.

Semper Fi asked:

I am 16 and i found out that i am pregnant, I called the pregnancy hot-line but it was not much help, i want to keep the baby. I finished High school and im living with my grand mom and grand pop on their couch but i know i cant stay there. I live in NJ who do I call to get things started with housing and getting my life together?
im on my sisters account by the way, everyone is happy for her cause she just found out she is pregnant, but i just get lectured and yelled at =(
Taylor, well your a shitty counciler, i would consider another profession. Abortion is sick and it is not a form of birth control! If a person has sex then they are taking a chance of becoming pregnant and now i am pregnant (but i was raped, i did report the guy, but my family will not care about that =’( ) and my life is already Fucked up but its nothing i cant fix or make work
my mom is dead and my dad is to childish to even care he remarried and i live on my grandparents couch.
Simon P, umm my night out consist of me sitting at the library doing school work, i take classes online for college. i dont go out, i dont party, i dont have friends really.
